Introduction
David Thompson is a senior surveyor for LRQA's Inspection Services.
Biography
David has been with LRQA since 2008, and is a Graduate Materials Engineer and Chartered Engineer, specialising in material inspection and certification at foundries, forges; steel stockists and test houses. He compiled LRQA's factsheet for material certification to EN10204:2004 type 3.2 and is currently team leader for the South-Central area of UK Inspection Services.
Prior to joining LRQA, he worked at GKN for 23 years and was involved in quality control, certification, research and development of automotive castings.
Qualifications
BEng (Hons) Materials and Microstructural Engineering.
Professional Member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (MIMMM).
