In response to the challenges posed by COVID-19, the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) has extended the migration deadline for ISO 45001 certification.
Existing OHSAS 18001 certificates can now be extended for up to six months. This means that the period for migrating accredited certifications from OHSAS 18001:2007 to ISO 45001:2018 has been extended to 30 September 2021.
In keeping with the fluid nature of the current circumstances, the IAF has also removed the restrictions around how remote audits can be utilised for ISO 45001 and OHSAS 18001 certification work, meaning that the migration audit can now be undertaken 100% remotely.
LRQA remains committed to providing customers with uninterrupted support during this challenging time. In response to these recent announcements from the IAF and following the successful rollout of remote services against other standards – LRQA now offers remote audits against ISO 45001.
Remote audits delivered by LRQA combine technical expertise and insight with flexibility. Our auditors utilise the latest technologies, such as smart cameras and wearables, to provide rapid, secure and interactive assessments.
