The Food Safety Supply Chain Conference, an event hosted by Food Safety Tech from June 12-13, 2018 in Rockville, MD, was attended by food safety professionals looking to get the latest information on Blockchain technologies, US Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) regulations, food fraud, adulteration and more.
During the first day of the event, LRQA’s Vice President Technology Solutions, Simon Batters, delivered a session on DNA1 Consumer Assurance, LRQA's range of DNA test-based services from product authentication through to being assured as non-GMO, all underpinned by the latest technology from Clear Labs and DNA1.
On day two, Simon helped lead a discussion on Blockchain technology – what it is and what it isn’t – and it’s application in providing a safer food supply chain.
