Following a competitive bid process, LRQA has reached an agreement to supply inspection services for Woodside Energy, in support of the Trion deepwater project in the Gulf of Mexico.
The Trion project is a joint venture between Woodside Petróleo Operaciones de México, S. de R.L. de C.V. (60%, Operator) and PEMEX Exploración y Producción (40%, non-Operator).
The contract marks a major milestone in the Trion project - a greenfield development of national importance for Mexico. LRQA and Woodside will work together throughout the course of the project, spanning three years from January 2024 to 2027.
LRQA will provide quality assurance and quality control inspection services for Trion, as well as a team of on-site inspectors at Woodside Energy’s vendor sites across the globe, providing certification and assurance across the entire supply chain and its operations.
