FSMS FSMA FSPCA Intentional Adulteration

Introduction

This training includes the IAVA (Intentional Adulteration Vulnerability Assessment) training course for development, implementation and maintenance of Risk Based Food Defence Plans under the FSMA – Mitigation Strategies to Protect Food Against Intentional Adulteration Rule (21 CFR 121) established by the United States FDA.


The course is paired with about one-half (1/2) days training similar to that defined under the ‘Food Defence Awareness for the Intentional Adulteration Rule’ and intended for individuals assigned to work at actionable process steps (APSs), and their supervisors.


This training must be offered by an IAVA Lead Instructor authorized to independently offer the FSPCA standardized curriculum (FSPCA Intentional Adulteration Vulnerability Assessment Participant Course) directly to participants and issue FSPCA Intentional Adulteration Vulnerability Assessment Certificates of training.

Who should attend?

This course is for persons responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of Risk Based Food Defence Plans. This course (among others) is also one of the learning pathways to become Food Defence Qualified Individual (FDQI)
