Who should attend?

  • You are an Information Security / Privacy lead auditor wishing to extend your knowledge to audit Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS) against ISO 42001 requirements
  • You want to satisfy the formal auditor conversion training requirements

  • Understand the informative reference, on Potential AI related objectives and risk sources in Annex C;
  • To review procedures and evaluate conformance with ISO 42001
  • To prepare an on-site audit plan that establishes effective audit trails across processes, areas and between members of an audit team
  • How to conduct process and area audits and evaluate the effective implementation of an AIMS
  • To gather objective evidence through observation, interviewing and reviewing documentation
  • To evaluate objective evidence and correctly identify conformance and Non-conformance with requirements
  • To report findings accurately against requirements of ISO 42001, write and grade nonconformity reports and evaluate proposals for corrective action

 

What do you need to prepare?

  • Pre-coursework should be completed before attending this course.
  • Learners are required to have already successfully completed another lead auditor course before attending this ISO 42001 Lead Auditor Conversion course. As a result, delegates will already be familiar with common practice as a lead auditor. This course focuses directly on ISO 42001, with generic lead auditor activities covered in the pre course materials revisited briefly at the start of the course.
  • Knowledge of the following AIM principles and concepts:
    o    The Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle 
    o    The purpose and benefits of an AIMS  
    o    A basic knowledge of managing AIMS through risk assessment, risk control, impact assessment and compliance with legal and other requirements 
    o    A basic awareness of common examples of relevant national and local AIMS legislation and requirements
    o    Commonly used AIMS terms and definitions as given in ISO 42001 and ISO 22989 
    o    Knowledge of the requirements of ISO 42001, which may be gained by completing LRQA's ISO 42001 Appreciation and Interpretation course or ISO 42001 Internal Auditor course.

  • 3 days for the traditional face to face / virtual classroom course.
